From everything I’m seeing for our area right now, TS Bonnie isn’t going to have a huge impact on our area. However, no harm in checking ahead to make sure events are still going on, especially for this evening.

  • Propaganda
    Friday: A Hunter’s Pace, Goolsby, Alexander, Wolfbreaker Orchestra.
    Saturday: Angry Pudding, Kill Now?!, Tongues of the Heartworm, Mr. Entertainment & the Pookie Smackers.
  • Southshores
    Friday – Black Finger 8pm to midnight.
    Saturday – Medicine Hat 8pm to midnight.
    All shows are no cover.
  • The Lake Worth Rum Shack
    Friday – Steel Pony at 9pm.
  • The Lake Worth Playhouse Stonezek Theater will be playing today through next Thursday: Breathless and Micmacs.
    Special screenings this week are:
    The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo 8pm Saturday.
    USA – Australian Film Showcase: Charlie and Boots at 6pm on Sunday.
    Gen admission tickets are $8, first show daily is $6 and Film Society members pay $5.

  • Party in the Plaza with Roots Shakedown begins at 6pm Friday.
  • The Lake Worth Playhouse Stonezek Theater will be playing today through next Thursday: Please Give and The Girl Who Played With Fire.
    Special screenings this week are:
    Alliance Francaise 8pm Friday, showing short films for Les Lutins balloting to determine the 25 best French short films of the year.
    USA – Australian Film Showcase: The Waiting City at 1:45pm on Saturday.
    The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo Saturday at 8pm.
    Opera: The Abduction from the Seraglio, Sunday at 6pm (Gen admission $18, Film society $16 for this event).
    Film Discussion: following screening of Please Give, lead by Shauna Coolican on Monday, 3:45pm.
    Pride Night: Fabulous! The Story of Queer Cinema, Wednesday 8pm.
