- Sunfest is what I hear people talking about for this weekend, I may have heard of it… Flaming Lips was pretty much the only interesting act for me this go around and my employer was extremely tight with comp tickets so I’m sitting this one out. I may have gone to see Charlie Daniels Band but not for $32.
- It’s the 3rd Annual Shade Tree giveaway this weekend in Lake Worth. On Saturday from 8:30am to noon you can pick up a FREE shade tree to Lake Worth residents. One per household, and you must bring in proof of residence in the 33460 or 33461 zip, such as a utility bill or driver’s license. The giveaway is at the city hall parking lot, 7 N Dixie Highway.

All shows are no cover. - The Lake Worth Playhouse Stonezek Theater is showing Ran, Mid-August Lunch and Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, starting today through the coming week. Gen admission tickets are $8, first show daily is $6 and Film Society members pay $5.
